whitechapel typeface

I am planning to create an end sting for the Whitechapel Gallery in London, Design team Spin created this typeface for the gallery, their solution was to spell out the name Whitechapel in a typeface built out of a fine grid of squares.

Creation Publicity are a local design agency based in Trafford Park they have a wide range of work and clients including the Pitcher and Piano, the Textile Studio, The Arndale Market and the University of Manchester. I found alot of their work to be inspiring especially because I am familiar with several of their clients and think the work they have produced for them is highly successful.

Pixel 8

Pixel 8 are a design agency I would be interested in working with, I especially like their work for Boxfresh organics, the simple typographic and illustrative logo is appropriate and effective for the cause. Pixel 8 also design for Manchester United including all the official calenders and leaflets.

Magazine layout for typeface book, I was given the typeface Avant Garde and asked to create a magazine layout using only Avant Garde, the articles were featured in a printed book alongside the layouts of my classmates.

We were introduced to the website fontstruct.com where you can build your own fonts using blocks and then download the font and use the typeface within your work.

dialogue ignites change

The theme we were given for the dialogue ignites change module was water, I decided to focus on the water crisis in Africa as this is a huge issue which affects a large part of the population, this is the poster i created as my final piece in this module, a poster for the organisation charity:water . This was a good project to be a part of as I learnt alot that otherwise i would have been unaware of.

The brief was to create a poster for the 3rd Year Photography degree show, I decided to crop interesting parts from several of the images featured in the collection.

T-shirts I designed for the howies Spring 2010 collection. Unfortunately these designs were not picked but this was an interesting project to take part in.

The film contains exclusive footage of Banksy, and many of the world's most infamous graffiti artists at work.

One design agencys work I am particularly interested in is 999 design with big name clients such as the bbc, BT, Puma and Warburtons they have a very impressive portfolio of work which can be viewed at

I was especially impressed with 999's illustrative work for 09/10 BBC National Orchestra of Wales including posters, and brochures as well as the logo design for Gleneagles natural mineral water, this simplistic lowercase g I think is an effective logo.
